Talatal Ghar (তলাতল ঘৰ)

Talatal Ghar (তলাতল ঘৰ) is one of the best example of ahom architecture presently located at Sivasagar, Assam, India.In AD 1702-03 the ahom capital was shifted from Gargaon to Rangpur by Swargadeo Rudra Singha.The construction of Talatal Ghar was initially started in the year 1751 and completed on 1769. Talatalghar comprises many secret and puzzling corridors and two secret tunnels, there is also three underground floors which were used as escape-tunnel during war time. It is believed that among  two secret underground tunnels one connect talatal ghar to river Dikhow which is about 3km long and another one which is about 16 km long connect Talatal ghar to early capital Gargaon.
